Short-term memory
Remembers everything within one conversation, from start to finish.
What is Short-term Memory?
Short-term memory ensures that our AI keeps the entire ongoing conversation in view: what the customer just asked, which details have already been mentioned and what it is about. This means no one has to repeat themselves and every conversation feels like a real continuous conversation instead of separate question-and-answer.
How does it work?
- As soon as a conversation starts, Slimbot automatically maintains the thread.
- Every new question is understood in the light of what was said before.
- References like 'that previous one' or 'and the other?' are handled correctly.
- At the end of the conversation, the short-term memory is neatly closed.
Use cases
Webshop: customer chooses a product and then asks 'is that also available in blue?' without retyping everything.
Hairdresser/salon: visitor asks about a treatment and then 'and what time is that available tomorrow?'.
Installation company: customer describes a problem and the AI asks targeted follow-up questions without losing the initial information.
Restaurant: guest orders in steps and the AI keeps track of the running order list.
Benefits
- Customers never have to repeat themselves.
- Conversations feel natural and human.
- Fewer misunderstandings due to lost context.
- Faster handling per conversation.
