How does an AI phone assistant work?
Your existing business number is forwarded to the AI. The assistant answers incoming calls, answers questions based on your company information, schedules appointments and transcribes every call. You see everything in the portal.
Do I keep my own phone number?
Yes. Your existing 085 or 06 number remains your number. Customers call the familiar number and the AI answers the calls via call forwarding. No new SIM card or separate line needed.
Can the AI schedule appointments itself?
Yes. The AI qualifies the caller (type of appointment, preferred date, urgency), records the request in the portal and sends a confirmation via WhatsApp or SMS. Via the webhook integration, you can activate direct calendar integration.
What does AI phone answering cost?
AI phone answering is available as an add-on with a Slimbot subscription. An account is free; the subscription only starts once you accept the offer and can be cancelled monthly thereafter, without a contract. See the plans page for current prices.
What happens if the AI doesn't know the answer?
If the AI cannot answer a question, it records a call-back request including name, number and question. You receive an immediate notification and can call the person back yourself.
Is every call recorded or transcribed?
Every call is transcribed and stored in your portal. Recordings are enabled by default; you can disable this per number. Transcripts are kept for 90 days and can be exported.
