For Shopify there is a separate plan; for Wix, Webflow or your own site you paste one line of script.

What is a booking system for a website?

A feature on your site where visitors can book an appointment, reservation or service themselves, without calling. With Slimbot, this is a chat with an assistant that checks your calendar and records the booking.

Does the booking system work with WordPress?

Yes. There is a WordPress plugin (Slimbot Messenger). You download the package from your dashboard, upload it under Plugins and activate it. Manually pasting one script line also works.

Is it a calendar where visitors tick a box?

No, booking happens through a conversation: the assistant suggests times and the visitor chooses. This works well on the phone and answers questions immediately. If you also want a clickable calendar, please contact us about an integration.

Can visitors pay online directly when booking?

Not automatically in the booking flow. You can create a payment link from the dashboard and send it in the conversation, for example for a deposit.

What is the difference with a reservation system for hospitality?

The principle is the same, except a hospitality business asks for number of people and dietary requirements instead of a service. See the page about a reservation system for hospitality.

Does the chat widget slow down my website?

The script loads asynchronously, so your page doesn't wait for it. Feel free to test it in a private window after installation.
