What is social media marketing, and what does it require from you?

Social media marketing is making your business visible on platforms like Facebook and Instagram: showing what you do, building trust and inviting people to get in touch. For most business owners, the problem isn't the idea, but the consistency. A busy week at work, and the page stands still for a month.

Social media management is the work behind it: drafting posts, creating images, planning, publishing and responding. You can do it yourself, with software support, or outsource it completely. How it works in Slimbot

Everything around social is together in the Social & Content hub: connect, messages, create content, images, schedule and advertise. You start by connecting Facebook. If Instagram (Professional) is linked to your Facebook page, that account comes along.

Then you create a post. Choose a website and a project photo, tick the channels and optionally tell us briefly what the project is about. The AI creates drafts per channel; that usually takes 5 to 10 minutes. For Facebook and Instagram you post a draft directly or put it in the schedule; for Google Business Profile and LinkedIn you copy the text.

• Scheduling: one page and one time per post. If you manage multiple pages, you choose where each post goes; otherwise your default page applies.
• Monitor connection: if access expires on Facebook, for example after a password change, you see that in Slimbot with a button to reconnect, instead of a post that silently fails.
• House style: in the media studio, images and videos are created with your logo and colours. You can set everything to come to a test environment first before going live.
• Page maintenance: set a cover photo or send a test message from the page overview.

AI writes along, you decide

The AI creates a first version, not a final product. Slimbot explicitly asks you to review every text before you share it: is what's in it correct for this project? You are responsible for what gets published, and rightly so. What you don't approve remains as a draft.
