What are Roles?
With Roles, you determine in one go what a team member may see and do, based on their function. An administrator receives full access, a team member only what is needed. This prevents mistakes and keeps you in control of your environment.
How does it work?
- Choose a role for a user, for example Administrator, Team Member or Read-only.
- The associated permissions are applied automatically.
- Adjust a role and everyone with that role follows the change.
- Assign a different role per team or organisation if required.
Use cases
Restaurant: waiting staff may view reservations, only the owner adjusts settings.
Webshop: customer service answers chats, only the manager views figures.
Care practice: assistants schedule appointments, the practice owner manages the rest.
Construction company: site managers read along, the office manages the accounts.
Benefits
- Adding a new team member is a matter of choosing the right role.
- Less chance of errors because people cannot access everything.
- Changing a role takes effect immediately for everyone.
- Clear overview of who can do what, without endless individual settings.
Frequently asked questions
Can I create roles myself?
In addition to the standard roles, you can create custom roles that fit how your business works, with exactly the permissions you want.
What is the difference between a role and a permission?
A role is a convenient bundle of permissions. Instead of ticking dozens of individual permissions, you choose a role and everything is set.
