How to create a date picker in WhatsApp
- Enter the title and your name. For example "Grandma's birthday" or "Team outing". A description and location are optional.
- Choose 2 to 15 dates. Optionally add a time for each date. With "+ Add date" you can quickly add the next day.
- Tap "Share in WhatsApp". WhatsApp opens with a ready-made message and the link. Choose your group or contacts and send.
- Everyone fills it in. Participants open the link, type their name and tap yes, maybe or no for each date.
- Lock in the best date. Via your admin link you can see which date suits best. Lock it in and share the final date again in WhatsApp — with a button to add it to the calendar.
Frequently asked questions
How do you create a date poll in WhatsApp?
WhatsApp does not have a date picker itself. Create a date picker above, tap "Share in WhatsApp" and choose your group. Everyone in the group opens the link and indicates when they are available. You don't need to install anything.
Is this date poll free?
Yes. You create and share the date poll for free, without subscription and without adverts in the poll.
Do I need an account?
No. You and the participants don't need an account, e-mail address or app. You'll receive an admin link with which you can later confirm the final date; keep that link safe.
How many dates can I suggest?
You can suggest 2 to 15 dates, each with an optional time. Without a time, the whole day applies.
Can I change my choice later?
Yes. Open the link again on the same device and in the same browser: your previous choices are already filled in. Adjust them and save again.
How do I add the chosen date to my calendar?
As soon as the organiser confirms a date, buttons appear to add the appointment to Google Calendar or as an .ics file to your iPhone, Outlook or other calendar.
Do you schedule appointments with customers via WhatsApp?
Slimbot is a shared WhatsApp inbox for your whole team: all customer conversations in one place, with appointments, labels and an AI assistant.
