Exact Online integration with Slimbot: export and bespoke
Honest answer: no ready-made integration yet, but a working route.
What is Exact?
Many business owners are looking for an Exact Online integration for their customer contact. Slimbot does not currently have this as a ready-made button. We prefer to say that up front rather than you finding out after signing up.
What does work today: Slimbot keeps track of your invoices and prepares them quarterly as a CSV file, with the number, date, customer, amount excl. VAT, VAT, amount incl. VAT and status for each invoice. You import that file via the import function in Exact Online, or you forward it to your accountant.
Do you want data to flow back and forth automatically, for example customers or outstanding invoices that the assistant can look up? Then you request an integration in Slimbot. We'll then look together at what's needed and make a proposal for a custom integration.
How does it work?
- In Slimbot, open the Accounting export section.
- Select the year and click 'Download CSV': you'll receive all invoices, grouped by quarter.
- Import the file via the import function of Exact Online, or give it to your accountant.
- Prefer automatic? Request the integration in the integration catalogue; we will contact you.

Frequently asked questions
Does Slimbot have a direct integration with Exact Online?
Not yet as a ready-made integration. You can export invoices per quarter as CSV and import them into Exact Online. You can request an automatic integration in Slimbot.
What data is included in the export?
Per invoice the quarter, the invoice number, the date, the customer, the amount excl. VAT, the VAT, the amount incl. VAT and the status.
Can a custom integration be created?
Yes, you can request that. We'll review which data you want to connect and then make a proposal.
What's the difference between an export and an integration?
With an export you download a file yourself and import it into Exact Online. With an integration, data goes back and forth automatically, without a file. Slimbot has the export today; an integration is custom work on request.
Can the AI assistant look up data from Exact Online?
Not in the standard version. If you want the assistant to look up, for example, an outstanding invoice or customer data from Exact, that is part of a bespoke integration. Request it and we will see what is possible.
What does a bespoke Exact Online integration cost?
That depends on which data you want to connect and in which direction. You'll receive a proposal first; we don't mention a fixed amount here.
